By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

When I select "Monitor and Display" in Trinity Control Center the application freezes. It keeps displaying "Loading" but nothing actually happens.

Any configuration set in that module takes effect system wide, meaning that it will be set on first power-up as soon as KDM loads.  That is why only an administrator can alter the display layout in that module; the normal UNIX way of doing things is to disallow a normal user from changing global system settings.

Yes, I am aware of that. Nevertheless I think its a deficiency of linux to require root privileges for daily tasks on a desktop computer (see: https://plus.google.com/+LinusTorvalds/posts/1vyfmNCYpi5 ). I guess I shouldn't blame Trinity BUT there are programs that allow to modify display settings for the current session (e.g. enable second monitor), without saving settings to xorg.conf
