By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Kris 2012-10-03 14:16:21 CDT
In Quanta, if several optional apps aren't installed, it will display a dialog box listing what they are, a link to the apps, and what they are used for.

All the links point to non-trinitydesktop.org web sites, yet all these apps appear too have Trinity-specific packages. The links should either be corrected or removed.

Are you are referring to the "Missing Applications" dialog about kfilereplace, kxsldebug, kimagemapeditor, klinkstatus, cervisia? If yes, then the links need to be updated. Actually, deleting the links would be more effective.

Moreso, the dialog should not appear when the full tdewebdev package is installed. I receive that dialog on my system yet all of the apps are indeed installed. A little investigation reveals the detection method is hard-coded in the user's $TDEHOME/share/apps/quanta/plugins.rc file to kde3/*.la. The kde3 lib directory has been renamed in GIT to trinity. I'll update the r14-xdg-update script to include those hard-codings.

For a short-term solution, close Quanta Plus. With a text editor, open $TDEHOME/share/apps/quanta/plugins.rc. Search and replace all occurrences of FileName=kde3/ with FileName=trinity/.

Agreed, deleting the links would be the better option.

<snip>

Actually, I didn't install the tdewebdev package. I selected Quanta Plus manually. After seeing the dialog, I installed the mentioned packages individually, restarted Quanta Plus, and the dialog wasn't there (and I didn't check the "do not appear again" box). I'll have to check again to make sure it's truly gone, but I don't remember seeing it after I restarted it.
