If I remember correctly it is up to the individual style whether or not this setting is respected. This is obviously not optimal; fixing it would require modifying all styles that do not respect the user's setting. Huh. Would be nice if the code contained such a comment. :) I could add a comment in the What's This help. Other than testing eac style, exactly what do I look for in the code? I'm guessing that because the option never was previously supported in Qt3 that none of the styles support this feature. If correct then we probably should not provide the check box as that will only confuse people. As suspected, I see no evidence that any of the styles support this feature. I tested several styles, restarted Trinity, deleted the ksycoca files, and there was no change for any of them. The underline remained visible at all times. Update: seems there is some functionality, albeit still broken. When the option is enabled some dialogs no longer show the underline. For example, enable the option, open a text file in kate, and then open the Find dialog. The underlines no longer appear in the dialog but remain showing in the menu bar. With the Find dialog open, pressing the Alt key does not show the underlines in the dialog. |
