By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Darrell 2013-04-13 15:52:12 CDT
Kate and Kwrite have a configuration option to show the line numbers in an open document. Adding some automatic gray shading to the column would enhance usability and not confuse line numbers with numbers in the document. (KDE4 has this feature if a sample of code is needed.)

No configuration option is needed --- just automatically shade the column when the line number option is enabled.

Note: Perhaps the shading should include folding markers too?

I am aware of the feature you are describing (in fact I use it quite often). On my systems the columns referenced are always shaded. Perhaps your TDE color palette has been set in such a way that the column is not shared?

Sorry, that should be "shaded", not "shared" above. :-)

Sigh. I suppose this happens now and then.

I tested this with a fresh profile and saw the shading. As you queried, something must have happened to my configuration or color palette because I was not seeing any shading.

Future note: the feature is cleverly hidden at Settings->Fonts & Colors->Additional Elements->Left border background.

Fixed. I'll return to being fat, dumb, and happy. Or at least one of the three. :)

Marking invalid.
