By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Kris 2013-06-22 19:39:08 CDT
MSN Messenger was superseded by Windows Live Messenger, which was superseded at some point by Skype (ref: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/messenger/messenger-to-skype ). Since I'm making a separate request for Skype support, I'm marking this as trivial since it will probably end up removed as a result.

As a side note, if 3.5.13-sru maintenance will continue after R14 is released, this bug should apply to both branches.

tdenetwork packaging patch (p1 level)

This patch is for Debian Wheezy distro, but can probably be applied to other Debian/Ubuntu distros as well as it is.

The proposed patch removes MSN support across Kopete by removing the MSN protocol and the netmeeting plugin.
I don't use Kopete, so I have no idea what protocols were working before and what protocols are working now and if anything was broken by the patch.
Kopete's code is quite modular, so the patch should not affects other procotols, but test is needed to be sure of that.

The Debian patch is meant for the debian/wheezy distribution, but if the original patch is ok, I will extend it to the other Debian/Ubuntu distros before committing to GIT.

Please test!

Why also removed NetMeeting protocol?

> Why also removed NetMeeting protocol?

I take the question back - I got involved NetMeeting and WinPopup.

I use Kopete for xmpp/jabber and irc. With the patch I have not noticed any problems. I think you can push patches.

Pushed to GIT in commits 0486034 (main) and f42ebb7 (packaging).
