After updating to R14-nightly I noticed a few new glitches in rendering gui widgets for style hicolor classic. See the following pictures.

KMail - different shading of toolbar and widgets on the toolbar

Note the difference between background for label Hledat and button with cross and background for toolbar as such. This glitch is since 3.5.13.0.

Note the odd line under the label Umístění.

Juk - most of the toolbar has a transparent background

On background remain random things that were previously under the window. On the left side you can see the same glitch in shading background, as noted above for KMail.

I confirm the kmail glitch with hicolor classic. Also a similar glitch with amarok in the text "Search" of the playlist search bar. Not all widget styles exhibit the problem in amarok. Plastik does not.

I confirm the "line" in the konqueror toolbar, just under the text "Location" in the location bar. The "line" disappears with KDE Classic, which I normally use.

This may have been resolved by the fix for Bug 1816 ; can you test?

Thanks!

Using the hicolor classic style:

Kmail: still present
Amarok: still present

Juk: fixed
Konqueror: fixed

Thanks for that; I'll look into the remaining failures.

Note: while Konqueror and Juk was a regression in R14, KMail and Amarok is so since 3.5.13.0.

I have spent quite a bit of time attempting to find the cause of this regression; out of frustration I just installed 3.5.12 on a test system and noted the same problem. What was the last version of KDE or TDE in which this bug was not noted?

Thanks!

OK, I just verified that in KDE 3.5.10 the Amarok glitch is present (so this is not a regression per se), but the KMail glitch is not. I'll work on the KMail glitch for now, and leave the Amarok problem as a normal (non-regression) report.

Thus far I have isolated it to something in this commit:
https://git.trinitydesktop.org/cgit/tdelibs/commit/kdeui?id=374d939d8af431477ce2601815f0ba121b66871c

It took quite a while to bisect this; hopefully I can figure out what went wrong so long ago quickly here.

OK, the KMail problem is fixed in GIT hash a6da78d. Changing bug priority and title for remaining Amarok problem.
