I can trigger this error message in Slackware 14.1 when logging in as root. When logging in the message appears every time, but only for root and only in Slackware 14.1. That is, this is the only way I know to repeatedly trigger the message. The message still appears at various times but I don't know what triggers the message. In this unique triggering case, the problem is related to enabling Configure Desktop->Behavior->Show device icons. When I disable that check box and login again, the error message does not appear. When I view the xsession-error log the error message is always sandwiched between multiple occurences of the following message: [tdeinit] Got EXEC_NEW 'tdeio_media' from launcher. With my most recent package set (Oct 11), as non-root user I now receive this message almost every time I start TDE. When I view the xsession-error log the error message is always sandwiched between multiple occurences of the following message: [tdeinit] Got EXEC_NEW 'tdeio_media' from launcher. Comment 1 shares a known trigger. |
