The Trinity project provides a patched version of OpenOffice.org that provides KDE3/Trinity support. It is identical to the stock version in all other respects. Can you please verify that the Compiz issue is still present? Thanks! I uninstalled KDE3 it starting seeming weird that some apps of KDE3 were in KDE4 and some apps of KDE4 were in KDE3. (or at least it seamed that way) When I uninstalled the KDE3 stuff I ran into this problem http://forum.compiz.org/viewtopic.php?f=133&t=13291 (it really starts at the 2nd to last entry on the first page) http://forum.compiz.org/viewtopic.php?f=133&t=13291&start=8 - For the sake of testing this (after this post: Timothy Pearson 2010-10-01 12:27:20, the above was from before then) I started the Lucid KDE3 install instructions at http://trinity.pearsoncomputing.net/ sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop-kde3 [sudo] password for Reading package lists... It might be a good idea to split the Compiz/LibreOffice packages off into a separate trinity-extras repository, to avoid this kind of problem in the future. Is this report still valid? No response in several years, and the LibreOffice packages have been provided by their own PPA for some time. Marking fixed. |
