style ia-ora: update for R14
The main problem is that TDE has changed the "kstyle" (now "tdestyle") API, so that every existing style for KDE3 must be adapted for TDE.
The attached patch allows ia-ora to build on TDE R14.
How to build (simplified):
tar xjf ia_ora-kde-1.0.8.tar.bz2
cd ia_ora-kde-1.0.8
# Convert QT/TQT and KDE3/TDE
rm -rf admin
convert_existing_qt3_app_to_tqt3
convert_existing_kde3_app_to_tde
# Remaining updates for R14
mv src/kwin src/twin
patch -p1 < style-ia-ora-14.0.0-update_r14.patch
# Then build as usual with autotools ...
cp -rf <...>/tde_r14/main/common/admin/ .
./configure ... make ... make install
Thanks Francois, I think we should look at adding it after v14.0.0 is released As some window borders like Crystal will probably not be 100% ready for R14, is it possible to add this one to R14. I plan to use it on the next release of my remaster, if it is possible and take littel disk space. -Alexandre Application is ready for R14.1.0 - http://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/cgit/tde-style-ia-ora/ Could this be packaged also for ubuntu? Quick web search showed only rpm packages. Debian / Ubuntu packages are ready for the upcoming release TDE R14.1.0. If you use Preliminary Stable Builds repository, you can add the "extra" component in the apt sources list, where the package are also available for R14.0.x. |
Created attachment 2114 [details] style-ia-ora 1.08 for KDE3 The "ia-ora" style was a KDE 3.5.10 style developed for the old Mandriva distribution. It was both a widget style and window decoration, that was developed for KDE3, KDE4 and Gnome2. It allowed the end-user to have a common look and feel for all applications in the system.
