Andrew, what is the status of this bug? Still valid? That is an interesting question. In October 2014 I was using Ubuntu 14.04, Trinity 14.0.0 and Opera 12.16. Today I'm using Debian stable, Trinity 14.0.5 and Opera 54.0. The same mainboard, CPU, RAM and graphics card, different drives and screens. I've tried experimenting with suspending various things and using Konqueror, so far nothing appears to be wrong. Earlier I had Kate and LibreOffice open. I wanted to copy some text from Kate into a Writer file - this should have been a simple copy and paste. After copying the text from Kate, I suspended it and then tried pasting it into LO. The clipboard was now empty but LO was sluggish. Restoring Kate also fixed LO's sluggishness. Meaning that there is no issue now? Should we keep the bug open or closed it? And reopen if necessary? |
