Ok, here is the attachment: twin.zip 10.7 MB https://mega.co.nz/#!ToADGK4Q!jvHII53iYROzsf2IJdcBcXgb1W1D_pg6Bwf0y_9Hh3k The 1997-like 2mb file size limit has its limits :) -Alexandre (In reply to Alex Couture from comment #1) > Ok, here is the attachment: > twin.zip 10.7 MB > https://mega.co.nz/#!ToADGK4Q!jvHII53iYROzsf2IJdcBcXgb1W1D_pg6Bwf0y_9Hh3k > > The 1997-like 2mb file size limit has its limits :) > > -Alexandre Size limit increased to a saner value; I don't think anyone's going to be able to upload any pirated junk in 20MB. ;-) Tim Great! Anything interesting in the debug output? Thank you! -Alexandre (In reply to Alex Couture from comment #3) > Great! Anything interesting in the debug output? > > Thank you! > -Alexandre Won't be able to look at this for a few days as I am in the middle of overhauling the build farm. In the meantime can you upload the attachment to this report instead of mega? Thanks! Tim Created attachment 2340 [details]
Debug output
(In reply to Alex Couture from comment #5) > Created attachment 2340 [details] > Debug output Unfortunately there isn't much that's useful in there beyond that the problem seems to be related to grabbing the background wallpaper (this makes sense as that's how the fake transparency works). kcontrol is busy in CrystalButton::drawMenuImage so you are likely largely correct in your analysis. Is this a regression? If not then the best way forward is probably using the twin compositor to provide true transparency. Thanks! Hi, Yes, works perfectly on PCLinuxOS with 3.5.13.2 If you test my remaster, you'll see it at work as the default window border. But maybe PCLinuxOS is so much better than the others that it has less bugs :) Another detail that seems strange is that is the window border itself seems to work properly most of the time, once it is set and that I found a way to reboot. It really seems to be something with the preview. Thank you! -Alexandre I'm pretty sure this was resolved with the fix for Bug 2176. Can you test and confirm? Thanks! Hi, Yes, Crystal transparent window border now works as it should! Thank you! -Alexandre Hi, Maybe one day it wolud be interesting to have true transparency (form compositor) available for th window border? As an example, if the active window overlaps another window, this window should be seen and not the destop. -Alexandre |
