By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Severity: major CC: bugwatch, kb9vqf, michele.calgaro
Priority: P5
Version: 3.5.13.x [Trinity]
Hardware: i386
OS: Debian Wheezy

Application Version: Application Name: KPowersave

Description Hallgard Vormann 2014-11-19 09:42:17 CST
KPowersave randomly spikes up to 100% CPU and stays there. I have to close and restart KPowersave to make it work normally. After a while, it spikes up to 100% CPU again, slowing down the entire system.

It is very annoying to close and open KPowersave several times a day.

kpowersave is deprecated and replaced with tdepowersave in R14; marking SRUONLY.

This is also a known bug with kpowersave; as it relies on HAL via DBUS it seems that a specific (but as of yet unidentified) failure in HAL can cause a DBUS lockup, which in turn causes kpowersave to lock up with 100% CPU.

tdepowersave cures this issue in R14 as it does not use HAL.

Kpowersave will be dropped in R14.1.0 and fully replaced by TDEPowersave.
Please reopen the bug if you can reproduce the bug using TDEPowersave in R14.1.0 (when available).
