By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description mgb-trinity 2014-11-21 18:35:30 CST
kdebindings-trinity seems to be new in R14; I cannot find it in 3.5.13.

It purports to be a dummy transitional package converting installations to the new tdebindings-trinity, which latter is non-existent.

I see how this is working with [kt]debindings-java-trinity but kdebindings-trinity itself may be a superfluous package.

There is a somewhat similar dummy transitional package called kde-guidance-powermanager-trinity which purports to bring in tde-guidance-powermanager-trinity.

However tde-guidance-powermanager-trinity does not exist, and may never exist as it depends on hal.

Additional trivia: kerry-trinity is built for Debian but it depends on beagle and Debian dropped beagle four years ago.

True, kdebindings-trinity was just the name of the source package, but no binary. Good point.

Fixed in GIT hash e36f4c6f.

We built Beagle specifically for the TDE archive as Tracker (Beagle's replacement) is still pretty rough around the edges. When we have a proper TDE client for Tracker, and Tracker is stabilized somewhat, we will drop Kerry.

You are correct; tde-guidance-powermanager-trinity is long gone. :-)

Looks like this is fixed; marking as such...

Attention - we build libbeagle, but not the beagle itself! Therefore, the observation is correct. Kerry is currently not possible to install. So the question is whether beagle is necessary dependency or if is sufficient libbeagle?

Looks like we build libbeagle:
https://quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/~trinity/+archive/ubuntu/trinity-nightly-build-dependencies/+packages?field.name_filter=beagle&field.series_filter=&field.status_filter=published&start=0&batch=300

but yes, you are correct, I thought we built beagle but we don't.

For now I say move this over to a new enhancement bug report, something having to do with building a new GUI client for Tracker (Beagle's replacement). Search tools have nothing to with the main body of this report. ;-)
