By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Bug 2295

Summary: Fedora 21: Cannot view showfoto.png images

Description Darrell 2014-12-31 21:05:54 CST
I noticed in the Trinity menu there was no icon for showfoto. I tried viewing the showfoto icons with kuickshow, kuickview, gwenview, and eye-of-mate. None of the viewers would display the showfoto icons.

I tested the icons directly from the git tree with the same results.

I had no viewing problems in Slackware 14.1.

The error messages looked like the following:

IMLIB ERROR: Cannot load image:
All fallbacks failed.
libpng error: IDAT: invalid distance too far back
kuickshow: WARNING: ImlibWidget: can't load image file
EOM-WARNING **: Couldn't load icon: Icon 'image-loading' not present in theme

I don't know whether the problem is the images, imlib, or libpng or a combination thereof.

There are many "corrupted" PNG images in TDE, e.g. images that produced only warning with older versions of libpng and that we ignored, but that are now producing loading errors and do not display at all.

In KDE4 they had the same problem at some point, so they developed a conversion script that recursively fixes all PNG images. I believe we should use it in TDE source tree.
