A quick look at applications/tdepowersave/src/tdepowersave.cpp indicates TDEPowersave should be at least changing icon background colors. When on battery there are two additional icons supported: laptopbatteryORANGE.png and laptopbatteryRED.png. The icons are installed. Hello, on my laptop running Mageia 4 abd TDE R14, I get notification popups from tdepowersave. E.g. I have a "warning" at 20% and the tdepowerave icons blinks with orange background. Then I have an "alert" at 10% and tdepowersave icons blinks with red background. I do not remember having set anything myself, I believe this is default behaviour. >I get notification popups from tdepowersave
Okay, that is a start. Thanks. I'll dig further.
Notificaton levels can be setup in the configuration page. Anyway I noticed that when TDE is running in a Vbox VM, the adapter is always reported as connected, even when it is physically unplugged. Battery levels seems to be correct. Notifications can be configured in the settings dialog and works fine. Also battery status reporting is now working fine also inside a VM, thanks to changes made in tdelibs quite some time ago. Closing the bug report. |
