By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Alex Couture 2015-04-06 19:46:17 CDT
Hi,

On a Sagem Spiga mini laptop with Ubuntu 14.10 and TDE R14 nightly build, the shift key of kvkbd is doing strange behaviour.

To test it:
1.Open Kate (or any place where you can write text)
2.Launch kvkbd
3.As you can see, the keyboard is at its defaut state
4.Press on shift. Normally, you should see, as on a standard US keyboard, the 1 to 9 keys should transform in different symbols (as !"/$%?&*( ), and the standard letters keys should become in capital letters, but they don't.
5.Press on ''1''
6.You'll see that ''!'' is written on the screen, even if it didn't change as it should on the virtual keyboard.
7.If you play a couple times with the shift key, you will eventually see how the kb should be.

The same problem was present on 3.5.13.2, but as I never used it, I wasn't aware of the bug. Some users on the mailing list are trying TDE on tablets, so it should work.

Also, it would be great to have the possibility to:
1.Adjust the keys size, as they are very small on modern HiDPI screens.
2.Maybe having the possibility to have a semi-transparent background?
3.The Gnome/XFCE ''onboard'' virtual keyboard is years ahead TDE's virtual keyboard. Maybe it could be an inspiration?

Thank you!
-Alexandre

The problem reported here has been solved with the rework on kvkbd done for R14.0.10 release.
The buttons are resized based on the kvkbd size.
Background color can now be set by the user, although without transparency.
