Can you install Trinity 3.5.12 from this repository and see if the bug persists? https://quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/~trinity/+archive/trinity I have not encountered anything similar on any of my systems. Thanks! Dear all, the issue is still valid. When opera ran in terminal, nothing is printed: [f_ii@localhost ~]$ opera [f_ii@localhost ~]$ time opera real 0m1.334s user 0m0.225s sys 0m0.186s Neither last stable opera opera-11.52-1100.x86_64 nor the current beta opera-11.60-1147.x86_64 does not start for me. Is this problem still valid? Issue is not valid anymore at least for me. Opera 12.02+ starts for me ok in F17 TDE x86_64 environment. Voting for CLOSED/WORKFORME or RESOLVED. Are you the original reporter but now using a different email address? (In reply to comment #6) > Are you the original reporter but now using a different email address? No I'm not, but I was seing the issue on F16+TDE as can be shown in comment 2. No response from the original reporter. Closing as WORKSFORME. |
I'm using Lucid Lynx, Trinity KDE and the Opera browser. After pressing Alt+F2 and entering "opera" the Opera browser doesn't start. (On older KDE versions this worked.) If I enter "/usr/bin/opera" into the Alt+F2 dialog, it works!!! In a konsole window "opera" is sufficient. ("/usr/bin/" is not needed.) Another strange thing is that Alt+F2 can start Firefox with "firefox". ("/usr/bin/firefox" is not neccessary.)
