Hi Dave, welcome! Perhaps some description and screenshot of the steps necessary to reproduce the problem could be useful. (In reply to Michele Calgaro from comment #1) > Hi Dave, > welcome! Perhaps some description and screenshot of the steps necessary to > reproduce the problem could be useful. Thank you, To reproduce this I inserted sd card into laptop and selected the icon http://s20.postimg.org/6wlpk6tul/screen_part.png then selected properties and Mounting http://s20.postimg.org/5iu2ovul9/mount1.png And you can see from image the settings I applied, but when it mounts it always goes to /media/dave/41BC-8675 (using the UUID for mount point) I have tried creating the directory /media/dave/CamCard first to see if that would mount it correctly, but that just mounted to the UUID again. This isn't really a major concern as I can bypass TDE's mount options and create a udev rule and fstab entry to get it to do what I want, but to anyone who is not familiar with the cli or editing system files it could prove fatal to the system if it is done wrong. (maybe fatal isn't the correct term to use but i hope you understand the point). If you would like any further information please request. Dave Thanks. This give good indications to reproduce the problem ;-) Created attachment 2606 [details]
screenshpt capture
I have captured the two images from Dave's link and pasted in a single image, in case the original images disappear over time.
Dave, in general it is better to upload screenshot (or anything else) as attachment to the message, so that all the required information is always available on bugszilla server. Outside resources sometimes disappear after a while ;-)

Dave According to the mount points I assume you have installed udisks2? I found that with udisks / udisks2 is no way to use a user-defined mount points. It seems that we have no chance to solve it for udisks / udisks2. I can prepare a patch to the user mount point will be used correctly with pmount. And another option would be to add support for udevil: https://packages.debian.org/jessie/udevil https://ignorantguru.github.io/udevil/ udevil appears to be similar to the pmount and at the same time with CLI compatible with udisks / udisks2. Problem fixed for pmount by commit c10124c9 (master), 0151f849 (r14.0.x). For R14.1.x has been added support for udevil, which also allows to use custom mountpoints. However, for udisks / udisks2 there is no way to solve the problem. Therefore now I close this bug report as resolved - fixed. Packages for test will be soon available in the Preliminary stable builds repository. If the problem persists, do not hesitate to reopen this bug report. |
