According to current XDG specifications are media-cdrom renamed to media-optical. For example media-optical-cdrom, media-optical-dvd. Original media-cdrom is therefore out of specification. Related links: http://standards.freedesktop.org/icon-naming-spec/icon-naming-spec-latest.html I propose to make media-cdrom and media-optical as a symlink to the media-optical-cdrom. However, there is question of whether to choose this way, because there may be more and more the same cases. And this probably would not be desirable. IMO it is better to rename icons as per XDG spec (In reply to Michele Calgaro from comment #2) > IMO it is better to rename icons as per XDG spec Because an icon in the Trinity seems to be in accordance with the XDG rules, the question is whether to close this bug report with status of 'not our problem'. > Because an icon in the Trinity seems to be in accordance with the XDG rules,

It looks like it is xfburn not looking for the right file name and not the opposite.
Since a user has the possibility to select a custom icon for a program from the menu editor, I think it is sensible to close this bug report with the status of 'not our problem'.
Rademes, does it sound sensible to you too?
Yes, it sounds sensible for me. I will select a custom icon for a program. |
