By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Darrell 2010-09-14 23:35:28 CDT
Ubuntu has a tool called Startup Manager that provides a portal into administering various aspects of system startup.

The kdeadmin package provides a tool called KSysV supporting System V init scripts, but the tool does not support BSD style init scripts.

KControl provides a tool to edit the Lilo boot manager.

Bugzilla ticket number 271 requests that QGrubEditor be added to the Trinity line of KDE applications.

A foundation therefore partially exists to mimic the Ubuntu Startup Manager.

The tools do not have to be written in C++. For example, python is a popular script language with QT bindings available.
