By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description linux 2017-01-24 08:31:56 CST
I'm not able to open/save any file on remote sftp:// server or even on a local media:/. I can browse directories but when I click Save or Open, a dialog appears saying:

"The selected folder does not exists. Please select an existing one."
(yes, there's a typo "does not exists").

Not sure when this stopped working, but it certainly was working in 3.5.13 and does not in 14.0.4.

Thank you for reporting this problem! Tim pointed out that the problem comes from commit 53e36f6d (master), c8ff908d (r14.0.x).

I will look at the problem in the next few days.
Comment 3 deloptes 2017-01-30 14:04:14 CST
Does it mean it affects only 14.0.4, because I can not confirm this on the packages build from source (14.1)?

This part of the code is identical between r14.0.x and master branch. Therefore, master branch (upcoming R14.1.0) must be affected in the same way.

Thanks, exactly that is why I'm asking, because I use konqueror very often in both scenarios. I can save without issue, create directories, files etc.

The only situation I can not do this is when the device is recognized as camera (mobile phone). In the later case it turned out to be mtp whatever stupid issue. I now use jmtpfs to workaround it and it is on the todo to investigate as it looks like tde related (ubuntu users with same phone can attach it without an issue), but the error message is completely different.

In case of konqueror and sftp/media I do not have this issue and I've been using this for ages. I could imagine some permissions, dbus, groups etc, but I can not confirm the bug ... I mean I would say it is not a bug.

regards

OMG, I just now understood what OP means. If I try open from Kate or Kwrite however I have this error message too. I use to right click -> open with in konqueror always.

Thanks for clarifying, confirmed!
Comment 7 Michele Calgaro 2017-02-04 09:01:48 CST
I can reproduce the problem and it is definitely caused by the commit mentioned by Slavek.
Comment 8 Michele Calgaro 2017-02-05 09:19:26 CST
Commits 53e36f6d (master) and c8ff908d (r14.0.x) have been reverted and the problem fixed in commit 05bcfa76 (master) and 4c096c2 (r14.0.x).

Using the new code, editing the path information in a tdefiledialog and pressing the "open/save" button will behave exactly in the same way as if ENTER was pressed after editing the path and before pressing "open/save".

linux@rainbow, are you able to test using Slavek's preliminary build packages and confirm that the problem has disappeared?

It seems that there were some temporary problem. I tried to access the mirror now and have not noticed any problems.

The mirror works fine now and I can confirm that the bug is fixed.
