Hi, It's because sometimes, when you turn it on, it triggers high CPU use (at least what was high CPU use on a then-powerful Pentium 3...) and you had to reboot. Then everything was okay. I currently have in the oven a window decoration theme just like the one of Plasma 5. Stay tuned! -Alexandre > It's because sometimes, when you turn it on, it triggers high CPU use (at

Is this still the case? Or was it a problem from the old days?
Anyhow I guess the message should be a little clearer :-)
Alex, nice you are still around after all. I have been away from TDE for several months due to too much workload. It was nice to see your name in the comment list :-)
Hi, I've just tried it in a VM, with top opened in konsole, and it didn't even came on top of the list, as larger loads does. Even back then, it didn't happened all the time, so I think that the text could be changed to something else. Michele, nice to see ya! I am certainly not going to contribute to TDE as I did a few years ago, for obvious reasons, but I may come up with a few things here and there. Have a great day! -Alexandre The message has been improved in commit 102bce27 (R14.1.x) and 1539513 (R14.0.x). Sure Alex, feel free to contribute whenever you want. You artwork has always been very good! The tooltip message now reads "When this is turned on, you may (still??) experience high CPU usage. Use it carefully!" Messages was shown incorrectly. Fixed in commit 9230b90 (R14.1.x) and 8a50ae8 (R14.0.x) |
