By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Terminal output of install commands

I am trying to install TDE R14.0.4 on Debian Jessie. Attached is my attempt at installing 'tde-trinity'. You can see I progressively work my way down from the 'tde-trinity' meta-package to find that the missing dependency is 'xcalib'. This is preventing me from installing on a fresh (Xfce-based) install of Debian.

I'm a bit confused - the xcalib package is a standard part of Debian Jessie - see https://packages.debian.org/jessie/xcalib

How do you think that package is missing?

I don't know. I have absolutely nothing to do with managing Debian's repos (I couldn't even tell you how to make a .deb package). All can I do is report what apt-get tells me.

Because it seems that the problem was due to incomplete apt lists, I close this bug report with the statement that it is not our problem.

I did not have an incomplete apt list when I filed this -- unless you are suggesting that the Debian installer is not correctly configuring apt?

Just for info, tdebase-trinity depends on xcalib. So once you try to install tdebase-trinity, xcalib should be pull in automatically if not install.
Normal TDE installs fine in Debian (jessie, stretch, buster), I do this several times to test specific bugs.

I'm not saying something is working wrong in Debian installer, but something is wrong in your /var/lib/apt/lists or /var/cache/apt/pkgcache.bin. In short, this is not a Debian-side bug, it's not a Trinity-side bug, the problem is in the files on your computer.
