By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

From TDE-Crashmanager (i reported the bug without any reaction)

In OpenSuSE Leap15.0 Konqueror crashes immidiately, when the mousepointer touches a pdf-entry in the Konqueror-window (without klicking on it).

I just installed Trinity 14.1.0, but the bug remains.
Comment 2 k_thaal 2018-09-23 11:23:32 CDT
I have same issue. Lubuntu 18.04. Latest updates installed. Trinity 14.0.5 installed from official repository. Issue seems to be related to retrieving properties of pdf file: When I disable tooltips, hovering over pdfs works fine, but clicking "properties" item in menu crashes konqueror immediately. Problem is constant on both my computers(both have nearly the same OS setup).

Reproducible here too.
Comment 4 mizban 2018-10-03 02:51:13 CDT
After update to the last available update [ trinity-konqueror-14.0.6-lp150.9.2.x86_64.rpm ] the error still remains. Repo is

http://provo-mirror.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/PunisherHD:/Trinity:/r14.0.x/openSUSE_Leap_15.0/x86_64/

So no change till today. Using d3lphin helps, in d3lphin the error doesn't appear.

Would be nice to know. wether somebody reads this...

By the way, konqueror does not crash when pointing to pdf-files, if you use konqueror for ftp-purposes. Then it behaves totally normal in the window with the called and loaded ftp-adress. As the same behaviour happens with html, this may be the case, as this are more or less links and not direct file-calls.

Yes, we read your comments. As I mentioned, I am able to reproduce the problem on my system with R14.1.0~pre and the bug has already been added to the bugs to fix for R14.1.0. May come as early as R14.0.6 though.

Michelle, it would be worth checking the kdegraphics patches used in the openSuSE kde3_graphics rpm. There was a library or two that kdegraphics claimed to depend on that made no difference to kpdf that claimed not to be found related to a "pdftools_any" package. I haven't looked to see how TDE handled that one (or if it even applies), but k3 on opensuse 15 has no such problem with konqueror -profile filemanagement.

Thanks David, it is a good suggestion, it may help.
Nevertheless the problem seems to have showed up quite recently, perhaps related to some recent version of poppler librar.

If KDE3 kdegraphics in OpenSUSE is based on the Sergei repository on GitHub, then for kdegraphics there seems to be nothing useful.

Fixed by pull-request TDE/tdegraphics#3 - see https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/TDE/tdegraphics/pulls/3

Hello,

today i made an update of Trinity to R14.1.0(Development) to my OpenSuse Tumbleweed.

This reported error with crashing Konqueror when touching pdf-files with mouse-pointer doesn't remain.

Thank You very much.

Bye
Michael
