By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Q4OS Team 2019-09-10 03:51:53 CDT
TDE isn't able to get Japanese characters from “fonts-droid-fallback” package, while GTK3/QT5 apps work fine.

Exact steps to reproduce:
- Fresh TDE preliminary stable (14.0.7) installation on Debian Buster
- First remove packages providing Japanese fonts:
 sudo apt remove fonts-takao*
- Install "tde-i18n-ja-trinity", "fonts-droid-fallback":
 sudo apt install fonts-droid-fallback tde-i18n-ja-trinity
- Run "sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales" to install and select "ja_JP.UTF-8" as the default system locale
- Set country to Japan: Run "tdecmshell language" > select Asia east > Japan
- Reboot - needed
- Bug: TDE doesn't display Japanese fonts, while all GTK3/QT5 applications do so
- Check that with any GTK3/QT5 application, for example "qt5ct"

Hi Q4OS,
not sure you are aware of the existance of TGW. We encourage you to report bugs there, since TGW is now the place to go for development :-)
