By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description a_hardcase 2020-04-30 23:16:37 CDT
I installed trinitybase and then installed other programs. While adding new TDE programs I started getting error messages from Synaptic:

  No Gtk3.pm as well as:
debconf: unable to initialize frontend: Dialog
debconf: (Dialog frontend will not work on a dumb terminal, an emacs shell buffer, or without a controlling terminal.)
debconf: falling back to frontend: Readline

Fixing These involved reloading and upgrading files to test if I solved the above problems. If you want to know how I fixed them, I will post them.

While doing that a bunch of new Trinity files appeared, so I installed them too.

Afterwards I noticed that the "Behavior" section with the heading "Configure how Konqueror behaves as a file manager" in the "kcontrol" and "Konqueror settings" systems had disappeared. since this is where the "Delete" and "Move to Trash" settings are, it was important to me so I I spent over 3 hours trying to find what happened and fix it. I did a lot of remove and reinstall of Konqueror files, but nothing worked.

But I did find that the Trinity Control Center -- TDE Components -- File Manager section would allow me to change the Delete settings so I put its Behavior section on my taskbar as an Icon. Then I remembered that I had installed a bunch of TDE upgrades while messing with the Synaptic issue and realized that the new software I installed, may have had the Behavior module removed...

So... did that module get recently removed on purpose, accidentally or did somehow my digging around in TDE's innards do that?

I would like to have the Behavior module back where it was...

The module is there, installs correctly and works correctly. This is most likely a result of all the install/removal you have been doing on your computer.
I am incline to mark this as an invalid bug unless you have any objection.

OK, mark it invalid. I gave up on that install because other things that were not part of trinity didn't work either.

Ok, no worries :-)
