Odd. I am sitting at my KDE3/Intrepid machine right now, and all those methods that you described work perfectly. Try the following command to start it manually: /usr/kde3/bin/konqueror "/usr/kde3/bin/konqueror" from a console works. I've only now noticed that the KDE menu item is for: "kfmclient openProfile Default" I just manually changed the menu entry to "konqueror" (I'm not sure whether it said that previously. I seem to remember looking at it before without seeing anything unusual, but this was nearly 2 weeks ago) and it now works, and trying it from a console without listing the path now works. Possibly having restarted it again snapped something into place (yes, I'm reaching)? If I were in better shape and had a handy test system I'd try to reproduce this with my Ubuntustudio DVD, but I really don't have the time as I already have more commitments than I'm able to juggle. Sorry. If nothing else, this is noted in case the next person who runs into this bothers to file a bug report... |
