By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Current Kaffeine version in Trinity is 0.8.6. Last KDE3 version released was 0.8.8.

Using the upstream 0.8.8 source tarball, Kaffeine built without errors within the Trinity environment in Slackware 12.2. A quick test of an AVI and MP3 were satisfactory.

Hmm. Perhaps don't update to 0.8.8. After a simple usability test I remembered why I never updated from 0.8.7. DVB is broken. With 0.8.8 I can't play any digital TV stations and none are found when scanning.

So recommend updating to 0.8.7.

The Kaffeine version provided by TDE 3.5.13 is version 0.8.8 .
I guess this bug is no more relevant.

This bug can be closed. Kaffeine 3.5.13 DVB, which I mentioned in Comment 1,  plays on Slackware 13.1.
