This is not a Trinity issue; marking invalid. Please obtain help with build problems with third party sources from the original authors. its related, due subversion software can be integrated to KDEPIM component, but until KDE version relese series 4 cant be in trinity du subvbersion project now uses KDE4 libs and brok kde3 support.. trinity has a lot of non working code for integration and now many changes for windo-like functions.. If you wish to stay with KDE3 then the sources for KDE 3.5.10 are still available online. Additionally, there is one other project that is attempting to keep KDE3 binary/API compatibility, but it is not progressing very quickly and is running into many of the issues that have already been resolved in TDE, such as a requirement on quickly breaking HAL for basic system functions. TDE is a separate desktop at this point. While I would welcome TDE integration in third party products, and in fact such support is already present in LibreOffice, the simple fact is that TDE cannot maintain full compatibility with a 5 year old software package (KDE 3.5.10) and still expect to survive and grow. |
