By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description mgb-debian 2011-01-16 15:16:53 CST
This is a regression from Debian Lenny to Squeeze+Trinity.

KMail now always checks mail after I send an email.

I cannot find anything in the settings to disable this.

As I have 2.2GB of email in four IMAP accounts, this means KMail is unusable for several minutes every time I send an email.

I find this also very annoying, I have several accounts where I am only allowed to check mail every 15 minutes. For each mail I want to only send, all those accounts respond with error messages.

I was looking for the origin of the reported bug and I found this patch:
http://git.trinitydesktop.org/cgit/tdepim/commit/kmail?id=33e649c9e80e36ec0a02d7f6dca06417a4887ada

I guess that it is what causes this behavior. But from the the commit comments I do not understand why it was included?

Tim,

Do we want to reverse this patch? I am not an IMAP user and can't test.

Yes we do. Users of TDE (understandably) don't like it when their computer knows better than they do. ;-)

Patch reversed in GIT hash 2d5f15c8. This resolves the bug report.

Thank you!
