After much hair-pulling, my husband and I both decided to wipe our machines clean and start with fresh installs of Ubuntu Jaunty. This bug affects us as well. In my case, no matter which way I set it ("use my..." or "use another..." with any theme selected), the look of Firefox et.al doesn't change.
Can you please upgrade your Trinity installations to a newer version (3.5.12 is the latest at the time of this writing) and verify that this bug persists? Thanks! Yes, I can confirm this bug with Debian Squeeze and TDE 3.5.12. If I choose "Use my KDE style in GTK applications." style becomes plain (please see synaptic screenshot) with "Use another style: ex. clearlooks all is fine. Created attachment 77 [details]

Ouch, with non-root application all is fine! So seems the bug should be closed isn't it? |
