By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description maybeway36 2009-02-22 10:02:54 CST
The package gtk-qt-engine-kde3 does not properly set the correct Qt theme for GTK applications. All GTK apps look plain and gray when they are used in KDE 3.5 with the theme set to "Use my KDE style in GTK applications." Choosing a native GTK theme like Clearlooks in KConfig still works.

After much hair-pulling, my husband and I both decided to wipe our machines clean and start with fresh installs of Ubuntu Jaunty. This bug affects us as well. In my case, no matter which way I set it ("use my..." or "use another..." with any theme selected), the look of Firefox et.al doesn't change.

Can you please upgrade your Trinity installations to a newer version (3.5.12 is the latest at the time of this writing) and verify that this bug persists?

Thanks!

Yes, I can confirm this bug with Debian Squeeze and TDE 3.5.12. If I choose "Use my KDE style in GTK applications." style becomes plain (please see synaptic screenshot) with "Use another style: ex. clearlooks all is fine.

Ouch, with non-root application all is fine! So seems the bug should be closed isn't it?
