By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Screenshot of OpenOffice

I discovered that when using GTK based applications, such as Mozilla or OpenOffice, the graphics that render the interface, mostly buttons and sometimes menus, will disappear. Many times they will re-appear if you hover over them and function as well. they just dont seem to be rendered right.

This occurs when the setting to display GTK apps is set to:

"Use my KDE style in GTK applications"

This is a known bug with our gtk-qt-engine. Apparently we're still having some problems with it :|

I'll start hacking on it

Hello,

There have been quite a few patches in recently relating to qt-gtk-engine. Could you please pull from the latest SVN and see if it works? Thanks!

A fix for the Firefox menu bar problems has been committed to SVN in revision 1260478.

This entire class of bugs is related to visual elements being held internally by certain applications and only repainted by their native background widgets. This behaviour in Firefox, etc. is a Nasty Hack around GTK 2.x limitations and it can cause all kinds of problems, such as the ones you have been seeing.

I am also experiencing this problem, and I'd like to test out the latest patches. Could someone briefly explain the best way to pull the latest changes from the SVN?

Is this report still valid on the latest GIT sources?

Closing for long inactivity and probably not related to TDE directly.
