By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

compiz-*-kde3 installations do not complete, installing here kde3 on top of ubuntu and gnome:

 $sudo apt-get -f install
 ...

Aptitude also shows the full deb package path, and then these can be installed using dpkg and --force-overwrite:

 $ sudo dpkg --force-overwrite -i /var/cache/apt/archives/compiz-core-kde3_0.7.4-1ubuntu3_i386.deb

 $ sudo dpkg --force-overwrite -i /var/cache/apt/archives/compiz-fusion-plugins-main-kde3_0.7.4-1ubuntu4_i386.deb

 $ sudo dpkg --force-overwrite -i /var/cache/apt/archives/compiz-fusion-plugins-extra-kde3_0.7.4-1ubuntu4_i386.deb

Finally, aptitude will clean up some left-over bits:
 $ sudo aptitude -f install
 ...

Hopefully, you will know the proper way to setup these packages to avoid the collisions.

Hmmm...Compiz.  Always a pain.

I will need to strip out the Gnome files from the -kde3 version of Compiz.  It will probably be a couple of weeks before I can do this.

Compiz core files and plugins have been repaired.

It may not be a good idea to install the two version of Compiz side by side, as they share one configuration file at the moment: /etc/xdg/compiz/compiz-manager

I will need to try to change the location of that file for the KDE3.5 version before I close this bug.

Also, emerald-kde3 still needs to be fixed.
