Does this issue only occur with remote folders? Also, are you using IMAP or some other protocol to access the remote server? (In reply to comment #1) > Does this issue only occur with remote folders? Also, are you using IMAP or > some other protocol to access the remote server? Yes, it occur only with remote folders when I use IMAP. POP3 work correctly. It is interesting to note that some folders still updated via IMAP. But some can not be retrieved from the server. There is nothing strange or interesting in output of KMail. I made a screenshot of the error message in the English locale: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/535/122ee.png/ Does it work when you set your TDE language to English? I know this is not a solution, but I am looking for a way to reproduce the issue here, as I cannot read (or even type) Russian. As I wrote when I set the language of TDE in English, the bug is still occurs. I have already posted screenshot with error message in English (when I set TDE language to English): http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/535/122ee.png/ I think the bug occurs when IMAP server returns a folder names are not in English. Somewhere, this information is damaged or twice re-encoded into the system locale. I can replicate this bug now; thank you for the additional information. Fixed in GIT hash 80bc593.
