By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Francois Andriot 2012-01-03 12:07:54 CST
Currently, TDE 3.5.13 offers 4 look and feel presets, inherited from KDE3: KDE, Microsoft Windows, Unix, Apple Macos.

I think we should offer updated or totally new look&feel presets in TDE, because they "feel" old (e.g. Windows looks like the old Windows 2000, for Apple, I guess it looks like an old Macos ...)

Also, the window decoration/style proposed by kpersonalizer are only a subset of all available decorations/styles, and I think it is hardcoded.
We should be able to configure (or hardcode at compile time) other lists.

Finally, if optional styles, such as 'lipstik', are installed in the system, they should be available in kpersonalizer too.

Hey, some of us like "old." :)

To the devs, this enhancement request is similar to other KPersonalizer requests:

Bug reports 247, 248

Perhaps KPersonalizer is due for a new coat of paint. At least a good detailing and wax job. :)

Hi,

There is no problems with those who like old things, but all the themes available should be in the list. Maybe icon themes too?

KPersonalizer is launched at the first TDE use. For the new and upcoming R14, I personally think that it does not give the user a clue at all that TDE progressed from what it was 10 years ago.

I'll try to work on newer pictures for it.

Thanks!

The old Ark Linux (not Arch!) contained a couple extra options in KPersonalier. Most notably, one was a variant of the Mac OS option that used the Baghira theme (not sure about the keyboard shortcuts or any specifics in the UI adjustments). If you guys are interested, I can try to retrieve the patches from the SRPMs, however someone else will need to adjust them for TDE (they are for KDE3, and I'm not yet experienced in C++).

There is a plan to get new artwork in R14.1, R14.2 and R14.3 progressively. We will get there, slowly :-)
