To avoid having an endlessly growing file, a workaround is to create a 'logrotate' configuration file with the following content:
/var/log/tdm.log {
weekly
notifempty
missingok
nocompress
}
I'm creating this file in the tdebase package. File name is '/etc/logrotate.d/tdm'.
The name of the log file /var/log/tdm.log and the name of the file which is configured in /etc/logrotate.d/tdm don't match no more so tdm.log again grows ad infinitum.
The content of the file /etc/logrotate.d/tdm is:
/var/log/tdm-trinity.log {
rotate 7
daily
compress
delaycompress
copytruncate
missingok
notifempty
}
from tdm-trinity_4%3a14.0.4-0debian8.0.0+0_amd64.deb to tdm-trinity_4%3a14.0.5~pre35-0debian9.0.0+5_amd64.deb (PSB) as far as I can inspect on my system.
This has been fixed in commit 23556cbbc (R14.1) and d4ece6c6b (R14.0). |
