By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description b.r.longbons 2009-07-09 19:27:07 CDT
The following packages from official repositories:
kalzium-data kbruch kig kmplot ktouch
won't install on top of the KDE3 versions because they contain some of the same files. Please move the KDE3 files.

The conflicting files are:
/usr/share/man/man1/kalzium.1.gz
/usr/share/man/man1/kbruch.1.gz
/usr/share/man/man1/kig.1.gz
/usr/share/man/man1/kmplot.1.gz
/usr/share/man/man1/ktouch.1.gz

from the same-named kde3 packages (except the moved kalzium's man page to kalzium-data for KDE4, it's just in kalzium-kde3)

You might want to subscribe to the feature request
https://bugs.launchpad.net/soyuz/+bug/335161
so anyone can just use apt-file to look for conflicts.

Of course, having all the source packages in one place, you might be able to search them another way.

Is this still valid?
Comment 3 Timothy Pearson 2013-05-09 10:07:44 CDT
This is no longer a problem. TDE installs its manpages with a -trinity suffix, avoiding this conflict.
