When in a TDE session, the following operation takes extraordinarily long time, or causes KWin to crash.

ssh -Y user@host
Enter passphrase for key '/home/user/.ssh/id_rsa':
Last login: Thu Jul 19 16:40:59 2012 from 192.168.2.221
[user@host ~]$ xterm

This issue is peculiar to TDE R14.0. When using TDE 3.5.13 or other desktop environments or window managers, this does not happen.

The crash renders TDE unusable, needing to resort to Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to recover.
