By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description James 2009-10-15 13:04:29 CDT
In K-Menu>System Settings>General>Monitor & Display>Power saving, then disable "Enable power saving", on reboot, the setting will not be restored.

The problem seems to be from
 kde-guidance-kde3: /etc/X11/Xsession.d/40guidance-displayconfig_restore
which does only
 /usr/bin/displayconfig-restore || true
where
 ls: cannot access /usr/bin/displayconfig-restore: No such file or directory

I couldn't find what package was suppose to have supplied this file, but I did see a reference to
 trunk/playground/base/guidance/displayconfig/displayconfig-restore.py

Then I see that there is a
 /usr/share/python-support/guidance-backends-kde3/displayconfig-restore.py
from "guidance-backends-kde3".

Maybe 40guidance-displayconfig_restore should be instead

 /usr/share/python-support/guidance-backends-kde3/displayconfig-restore.py || true

Confirming and assigning to myself.

Fixed in latest kde-guidance-kde3 upload for Karmic.

Thanks for reporting!
