By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Kris 2012-08-26 09:44:54 CDT
I used LibreOffice to save some documents into OpenDocument Format. Some were spreadsheets, and some were text documents. It is possible that KOffice is using an outdated ODF spec, since the spec was updated after KDE 3.5.10. I do not know if KOffice's spec was updated in TDE.

The main issue with the text documents is the font. I normally have LibreOffice embed the font I'm using within the document in case I open the document on a computer where the font isn't available. This is certainly the case: The font I'm using isn't on my computer, yet LibreOffice was still able to use the font because it was embedded in the document. KOffice does not recognize the embedded font and instead applies the first font in the font list.

I use True Type/Open Type Fonts.

As for the spreadsheets, the columns were shrunk, compared to what they are in LibreOffice. I spent a lot of time in one spreadsheet in LibreOffice getting the cells the perfect size, but KOffice shrunk the columns.

Adding bug 2257 as a blocker to this bug. Being unable to open documents in KWord and KSpread means that any work to be done on this bug can't be tested.
