By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description electronics45 2012-09-23 03:44:10 CDT
When presented with kdm running in virtualbox, I am prompted to type "Ctrl+Alt+Del". I select "insert Ctl-Alt-Del" option inside virtual box, but nothing appears to have happened. I am still presented with the same dialogue prompting me to press "Ctrl+Alt+Del".

I am using packages from http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/slavek-banko/axis/ubuntu
Comment 1 Darrell 2012-09-23 12:56:11 CDT
Ctl-Alt-Del is disabled in VirtualBox as a safety precaution to avoid rebooting the entire system. To invoke Ctl-Alt-Del in VirtualBox, use the VirtualBox menu or use "host key" + Del.

Even then the key sequence might not work.

Hi Darrell,
I've attempted injection of the "Ctl-Alt-Del" combination already, including using "host key" + Del, but I get no response.

I haven't been able to find anything on the internet that would suggest a guest would have a disposition for "failing" to recognise the injection.
Comment 3 Darrell 2013-04-12 16:35:17 CDT
Note: try setting UseSAK=false in the kdmrc (tdmrc) config file. Then no prompt for Ctrl-alt-Del should appear.
Comment 4 Timothy Pearson 2013-04-12 16:56:13 CDT
This works with the latest GIT HEAD in VirtualBox (retested today). This is likely due to recent changes to tsak to fix udev interaction problems. Therefore, I am marking this RESOLVED FIXED.

If this problem reappears with the latest GIT HEAD (or TDE nightly builds), please reopen this bug report.
