By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

udev warnings

amarok-trinity package requires libnjb, which is used to manage some Creative multimedia players. The version of libnjb provided in Squeeze causes a lot of ugly udev warnings during system boot (see attachment). I think most people do not own these particular Creative players handled by libnjb and thus don't need this package. I think that it would be better to change amarok-trinity dependency on libnjb from "required" to "suggested".

Workaround: comment out all rules in /etc/udev/rules.d/libnjb.rules
Comment 1 Jan Stolarek 2016-10-13 10:19:40 CDT
Warnings seem to be gone with libnjb5 provided by Debian 8.

Jan,
is this bug still valid?
Comment 3 Jan Stolarek 2018-07-29 09:20:51 CDT
Michele,

yes, Amarok still requires that package. However, as stated in comment#1 warnings mentioned in the original bug report are gone in newer versions of Debian.
Comment 4 Michele Calgaro 2018-07-29 20:38:39 CDT
ok, thanks. Good that the ugly warnings are gone.
As for changing libnjb from "required" to "suggested" we will need to take a look at the code. If it is used in the code, it would make sense it stays as required.

libnjb is an automatically generated dependency. However, the problem mentioned is not our problem, but the libnjb problem. That's why I'm closing this bug report.
