By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Alex Couture 2013-05-18 20:28:17 CDT
Hi!
When I click on ''Safely remove'', a pop-up window with the state of tde umount wrapper appear and even if I transfer just a 2kb file, the window stay there almost a full minute. I doubt that this takes so long to eject it, especially since the led of the usb key doesn't flash, showing that there is no activity.

Thanks!
-Alexandre

I see this too. We somewhat discussed the topic in bug report 850.

With the very first time I select Safely Remove, the respective icon remains on the desktop a long time. Thereafter using Safely Remove causes the icon to disappear quickly. The first time the icon takes about 30 seconds to disappear and thereafter about 2 seconds.

Darrell, is this bug still valid with the latest git sources?
Comment 3 Darrell 2014-03-07 13:49:16 CST
The original Safely Remove bug seems resolved.

Conversely, I have a 16GB USB flash drive that is packed with files and subdirectories that I use when traveling. The icon does not appear on the desktop for about one minute after inserting.

My guess is Trinity is traversing the entire directory structure before displaying the icon, much like bug 699, which in itself is a very annoying and embarrasing bug.

need to check on comment 3, if problem does not appear any more we can close.
Lot of work has gone in the media notification system since the time of the report.
