By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Darrell 2013-06-10 12:22:28 CDT
Latest GIT, Slackware 14.0.

Likely this regression has the same cause as bug report 1504. The two reports are similar.

In 3.5.13.0, activating the context menu anywhere in the konqueror file pane resulted in the Create New... menu option appearing. Users could open the context menu in white space or alongside any file or folder and the Create New... menu option appeared.

That behavior has changed.

Now the Create New... option appears only when activating the context menu from white space below the entire list of folders and files in the file pane.

Activating the context menu over a folder results in the menu option Create Folder... appearing. The effect is to create a subfolder in that specific folder.

Activating the context menu over a file results in the menu option showing no folder/file creation options (similar to bug report 1504).

I use konqueror solely in tree view. I haven't tested other views.

Reversing the tdeui/tdelistview.cpp portion of commit b282a7bb (2013-06-01) resolves the regression.

Interesting! The code in question apparently does not do what it is supposed to (both originally and now); reverting the patch would cause the list view items in tdehwmanager (and other places AFAIK) to revert to not being sensitive in their indicated focus rectangle. Raising to BLOCKER.

This bug should be resolved in GIT hashes e2c42b9 (tdelibs) and 789ab7d (tdebase). Please reopen this report if the issue persists.

Thanks for reporting!

Looks fixed here. Thanks!

This report does not seem directly related to bug report 1504.
