- Open properties for folder on desktop "My documents".
- Click to icon.
- Tape into "Search" field "ga" and next press "Backspace".
- From first or second try I see black screen and kdesktop crash and reload.

Detected on my builds but confirmed on your Live builds for 3.5.13.2.

I'm using the latest git as of yesterday, full package set rebuilt. I am unable to create a crash. Possibly the bug is isolated to 3.5.13.2.

That said, something about this problem description rings a bell, either another bug report or a discussion in the dev mail list.

I can confirm - on my working machine (Debian 6.0 - Squeeze, TDE 3.5.13.2) => crash occurs. On the my test machine (Debian 6.0 - Squeeze, TDE R14.0.0 - nightly) => crash does not occur.

Yes, Konqueror also crashes like to bug 210.

According to the change logs for 3.5.13.1 and 3.5.13.2, the commits mentioned in bug 210 were not merged:

5c8a387b 2012-01-31 [tdelibs] Use new Qt hidden items for iconview searches

660a32cf 2012-01-31 [qt3] Add full hidden item support to QIconView
This will enable TDE to efficiently filter icon views via Konqueror

I don't know whether those patches directly affect the problem described here.

But seems produce new problem:
- No display at all icon and text if that single views but this selectable, movable and displays tooltip.
- The problem allow for view by rows, but for all other views the problem miss.

Into 3.5.13.1 the problem miss.

The problem also fixed by get file src/iconview/qiconview.cpp entirely from master.
