By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Darrell 2014-02-08 13:46:50 CST
This request is similar to bug 1813. We need a basic mechanism to ensure i18n files are reviewed with respective changes to the parent modules.

I (finally!) was able to figure out how to regenerate the i18n files when the sources change; after a couple days of hacking the files are now automatically updated each day if the sources have been modified.

This means that all comments in the .po files are now correct with respect to line numbers, files of origin, etc., and include any new strings in the source files, therefore are ready for the translators to translate.

In light of this development is this report still valid?

Thanks!

The backend scripts sounds helpful and would seem to partially resolve the bug report. The remaining original intent of the bug report is to ensure (available) translators review respective tde-i18n files when the content in main files are updated.

At the moment all that can be done is post a translation check request to the mail lists but the bugzilla provides no mechanism to identify the requests have been made or need to be made. There is no project policy that, say, to provide a 30 day window for available translators to step forward. Nobody can be forced to update translatations, but the bugzilla needs a mechanism to ensure an opportunity is provided and that tde-i18n files are not "willfully" ignored.

The new bug tracker is now based on TGW, so I am closing this bug report.
