By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description goguinjeanpaul 2010-04-26 15:37:35 CDT
i configured in kde 3.5.10 kxkb to switch from layouts with alt+ctrl and this does not work. If i click on the flag from the system tray all is OK but not the keyboard shortcut

I can confirm this for 3.5.12 Trinity in Debian Squeeze. Keyboard Layout switching never worked as it should in KDE 3.5 for me. I disable it completely and use system settings and KKBSwitch program as layout tray indicator.

There is an (undocumented?) keyboard shortcut, Ctrl+Alt+K, which switches between the preconfigured layouts.

The other "raw" xkb option tab sets the key to switch between layout groups. Each layout group usually consists of the latin1 keyset ("us") and the configured country's keyset ("de", "ru" ,etc.) This change will NOT work to switch the current keyset if the current keyset is latin1, or if the latin1 option is unchecked in the kcontrol module, and will also NOT show up in the tray icon.

setxkbmap -query will show that a layout group is not normally set. To set one (e.g. for testing) this command will work:

setxkbmap -option "grp:ctrl_alt_toggle" -layout "us,de"

Right now I am seeing a lot of confusing/incomplete documentation, and some kcontrol module options that work counter-intuitively, but I do not see a real bug here.

By the way, feel free to file an Enhancement bug report against the confusing/incomplete kxkb documentation. :-)
