Alexandre, would you please replace the KDE icon with a MacOS icon to better reflect the dialog options?

As promised in the mail list I requested this report be added to the final R14 check list.

Looks good. I agree with Darrell with the need to change that KDE icon.

The new step 2, with X icon

Hi,

Thank you! Here is the new OS X icon.
I made it myself in GIMP, based on a KFaenza icon, because I wasn't too sure about using one from the internet.

On step 5, as you wrote in the user mailing list there is a button for launching TDE Control Center. Someone must have added this button a while ago, but it is not me.

THe new step 4

Hi,

Here is the new step 4, with the pictures aligned as they should.

I tried to do something similar to the step 1 picture for the ''About TDE'' box, but it is very hard to make a good harmony with the dragon. Don't get me wrong, but I find cool this dragon...

I can make a nice one, very similar to step one, that fits at the right space, but it doesn't features the dragon. What do you think about it?

Proposed About box picture

Here is a proposed About box picture. I am not sure about it myself, because it doesn't features the dragon.

To whomever makes the patch, when the images are accepted as final the images will replace the five images in the git tree at tdebase/kpersonalizer/pics: step?.png.

As for the "about TDE", I also prefer the original with the dragon, so I suggest we stick to it. Other user opinions are welcome though.
Would be great if you could come up with an updated image featuring the dragon.

By the way, would you be interested in doing more graphical works for v14.0.0? Seems you are quite good at that.
One thing I am thinking about is the initial splash screen that appears after logging in. If you could come up with a new or updated splash screen, I would like to add it to v14.0.0. It may become the default or be just an option depending on other users opinion, but it would be there.

As side note, one more thing to fix when pushing this bug is the text in the "About TDE" dialog. It says "TDE is a fork of KDE 3.5", but though that was initially true, TDE has now been moving on its own, so a refresh of the text is needed.

Okay, I can look at doing a splash screen for R14.
It would probably be based on Moodin KDE.
As far as I know, the ''Moodin'' splash theme engine is not installed by default on most TDE installs.
Are you willing to add it to the default package set, if the new splash screen is choosen? It is probably a very small blob of program.

Based on the result and on the other people comments, we could choose to make it the default splash screen or an alternative splash screen, available in KControl together with the other ones

Sorry, I misunderstood.
That is a possibility, again subject to other people agreeing too.
I would expect that to happen after v14.0.0 though, since we are trying to finalize the release and want to avoid major changes at this time.

Here is a another proposed picture for the About Box. It is very similar to the stock picture, but with a light white-gray gradient and Trinity TDE written on the top of it.

Hi Alex,
the gradient looks good. Could you do the following things:
1) remove the Trinity TDE on the top, as in the original picture
2) move up the dragon+TDE logo a little bit so that is it vertically centered. The original picture has that big empty space on the top that doesn't look very good IMO.

Once you do that, I think we are ready to add those pictures to the git repo.
