By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

The actual preview for a new background is "one at a time", after selecting from a list. A window similar to the provided screenshot would make it much easier to choose a new background.

I'm not really sure on this...big tiled pictures hogging screen space are one the things I really detest in KDE4 and most other "modern" interfaces. The counterpoint to your argument is say I know the wallpaper I want, or can easily find by title--this operation will take the form of a simple scroll through the current listbox. With the "modern" way I have to sit there and look at every single picture (slowly), ignoring all the surrounding visual clutter in the process, to find the one item I was looking for.

At minimum this is something that should be able to be toggled on or off easily, not made the only method of selecting wallpapers. For others that think the same way simply look at the MythTV interface--it has the same single-selection design as TDE, yet somehow it feels easier to use and much faster than, for instance, Amazon or Netflix's selection screens that consist of multi-image previews. The latter drive me nuts! :-)

The concept of finding picture my the file name is not intuitive at all...
Especially when the picture are coming from a digital camera, where they are all named img00xx.jpg

Even not-so-modern Gnome 2 has that kind of wallpaper selection window and it's not for no reason: It is because it is always faster for human mind to know what a picture is by the picture itself that with the file name. Also, it makes selection of not previously known files much easier and straightforward.

It would be as saying that you have to read the name of every file in the current wallpaper selection box to find the one you want. The only argument I can give to the old way of doing it is that it would be a little faster on a 486.

Different people have different preferences, so I see no problem in having two different selection methods. The user can then choose the one he prefers.
