By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Guillermo 2010-07-19 19:38:42 CDT
When I connect an usb disk with NTFS, the auto mounting window appears and offers to open the disk as a folder. When I choose to do so, konqueror opens an empty folder called system:/media/sdb1 and after a while the following message appears:

Konqueror - error
"Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken."

Note: I have installed ntfs-config which in prior versions of kubuntu kde3 allowed me to auto mount NTFS usb disks without any problem.

I'm using Kubuntu lucid with Trinity kde3.
Comment 1 Guillermo 2010-07-19 23:03:08 CDT
Note: the error is reported kio_media_mounthelper not by konqueror
Comment 2 Guillermo 2010-07-19 23:04:40 CDT
Note 2: If I right click on the desktop icon for the usb drive, and choose mount, the device gets mounted, but it takes way longer than in previous kubuntu kde3 versions. At least 40 secconds.
Comment 3 Timothy Pearson 2011-12-21 00:22:13 CST
Can you confirm that this behaviour persists in later versions of TDE and Ubuntu? I suspect that the problem is actually in the ntfs layer, not TDE.
Comment 4 Darrell 2013-04-13 15:05:54 CDT
Is this problem still valid?
Comment 5 Darrell 2013-05-09 15:57:53 CDT
No response from the original reporter. Closing as WORKSFORME.
